St. Andrew Community Center Services

The St Andrew Community Center has been serving the NE Portland Community for over 50 years. Current programs touch the lives of many of our neighbors.

• Support services for people facing potential housing eviction.
• Food Programs – Pantry & Free Food Market - Helping to stretch budgets and keep families healthy.
• Meals for those living without permanent shelter - Providing nutritious meals for the Walnut Park Emergency Shelter as well as people living on the streets.
• Utilities & Rent – Keeping families in their homes with heat, electricity, and water.
• Meeting space for nonprofit organizations.

• Interfaith Alliance on Poverty – Working together to alleviate poverty

Education

• St. Andrew Nativity School – Tuition-free Jesuit middle school for low-income & under-served youth
• Minds Matter – Mentoring high-performing under-served high school youth

EL CENTRO COMUNITARIO DE SAN ANDRÉS: SERVICIOS

El Centro Comunitario de San Andrés ha sirvido a la comunidad de NE Portland durante más de cincuenta años. Los programas actuales tocan las vidas de muchos de nuestros vecinos.

• Servicios de apoyo a las personas que se enfrentan a un posible desalojo de su vivienda.
• Programas de alimentación - Despensa y mercado de alimentos gratuitos - Ayudan a estirar los presupuestos y mantener a las familias sanas.
• Comidas para los que viven sin vivienda permanente – Se proporcionan comidas nutritivas a los residentes del refugio de emergencia de Walnut Park, así como a las personas que viven en la calle.
• Servicios públicos y renta - Se ayuda a las familias a mantenerse en sus hogares al apoyar en el pago de la renta y de los recibos de calefacción, electricidad y agua.
• Espacio de reunión para organizaciones sin fines de lucro.

Servivios Comuniarios

• San Vicente de Paúl – al servicio de los marginados.
• Banco de Alimentos de Oregon – despensa semanal de alimentos y mercado mensual de productos frescos del campo gratuitos.
• People’s Institute Northwest – educa y forma a las personas para deshacer el racismo institucional.
• Alianza Metropolitana para el Bien Común – aboga por hacer del área metropolitana un lugar mejor para vivir y prosperar.
• Alianza Interreligiosa contra la Pobreza – trabaja de forma conjunta para aliviar la pobreza.

Educación

• Escuela San Andrés Natividad – escuela secundaria jesuita gratuita para jóvenes de bajos ingresos.
• Minds Matter – tutoría de jóvenes de preparatoria de alto rendimiento y bajos recursos.
